Picked up a set of broken DVD players off eBay last week, which arrived yesterday.
I’ve pulled one of them apart and soldered some wires to the drive motor today.
Pleased to say that even though I have no soldering skills what-so-ever, I’ve now been able to create a working z-axis for my Phoenix 3d Printer.
I just need to mount it to my framework, fashion a build plate that I can attach to this axis and I can start printing.
