Building an IoT Temperature Sensor Station

I’ve been wanting to try and get back into the Internet of Things (IoT) for a while now and this idea for project connected to the K40 laser seemed like a good fit.

I need to keep an eye on the overall temperature in The Tinkerspace, as well as the specific temperature of the water used to regulate the K40 Laser Tube. The sensor can be build in a number of ways. This video shows you how I get to a wireless version and how I can use my iPhone to interrogate it, without having to set-up any extra online services.

I’ve created a repository on Github where you can see the Arduino sketches used in this project.
